Privacy Policy
Plain English, because that's how the rest of this site works. Here's exactly what capragrowth.com, the free scorecard, and the PresenceHQ client dashboard collect, where it goes, and how to get it removed.

Who this is
This website is operated by Capra Growth LLC, a Texas limited liability company based in Austin, Texas. In this policy, "we," "us," and "I" all mean Capra Growth LLC. Questions go to ryan@capragrowth.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. The contact form asks for your name, email address, and a message — those are required — plus your phone number and business name, which are optional. We don't ask for anything else, and we never ask for payment details through this site.
The free Local Presence Scorecard. The scorecard asks for your business name, website, and city, plus your answers to its questions, and shows your score without asking who you are. If you ask for the full report, it also takes your name and email address, and optionally a phone number, and saves them with your score and answers. While you answer, the scorecard also checks the public homepage of the website you entered: it loads that one page and runs it through Google PageSpeed Insights. It doesn't log in anywhere or read anything that isn't already public.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, roughly where visitors are located, what device and browser they're on, which site referred them, and which buttons get clicked. When a contact form is submitted, analytics records that a submission happened along with a few non-identifying details — whether a phone number or business name was filled in, and how long the message was. Your name, email, phone number, and the content of your message are never sent to analytics.
Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of delivering and securing the site.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your inquiry and, if it makes sense, to talk about working together
- To prepare the free local presence audit when you ask for one
- To understand which pages and services people actually care about, so the site gets better
- To keep the site working and protect it from abuse
We do not send marketing newsletters or automated drip sequences from this site, and submitting the form does not subscribe you to anything.
Where your information goes
We're a one-person practice, so the list of companies that touch what you share through this website is short (PresenceHQ has its own list, below):
- Google — Firebase Hosting serves the site, Cloud Firestore stores contact form and scorecard submissions, Google Analytics 4 provides the usage statistics described above, and PageSpeed Insights receives the website address you enter in the scorecard.
- FormSubmit — an email relay service that forwards contact form submissions and scorecard report requests to our inbox so we see them right away. It receives everything you typed into the form.
That's it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or lead resellers. There are no advertising or retargeting pixels on this site. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if it's necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
PresenceHQ and Google account data
PresenceHQ is the dashboard we run for the businesses we work with. It tracks their Google Business Profile, reviews, listings, and website. It isn't open to the public: access is by invitation only.
When a Google account is connected to PresenceHQ, Google asks that account's owner to let PresenceHQ manage its Business Profiles. PresenceHQ uses that access to:
- List the Business Profiles the account can manage, and accept a manager invitation a business has sent to that account when we ask it to
- Read each managed profile's business information: name, address, phone number, website, hours, categories, services, service areas, description, and attributes. PresenceHQ uses these to spot changes to the profile and to compare it with the business's own records
- Read each managed profile's performance numbers, such as calls, website clicks, direction requests, and the searches it appeared in, to report results to that business
- Read the profile's customer reviews and the owner's replies, so the business can see and answer them in one place
- Publish, and later delete, posts and photos on the profile, and post, edit, or delete the owner's replies to reviews — only the ones the business or Capra Growth writes or approves in PresenceHQ
- Show or hide the profile's street address on Google (keeping its service areas), only when the business or Capra Growth chooses to in PresenceHQ
Apart from showing or hiding the street address, PresenceHQ doesn't change a profile's business information, such as its name, address, phone number, or hours. Apart from the account's email address, which records which account is connected, it doesn't touch the account's email, contacts, files, or any other Google data.
What PresenceHQ reads is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, and the account's sign-in credential is stored encrypted in Google Cloud Secret Manager. Photos added to a post are stored in Google Cloud Storage, behind a link that is hard to guess but works for anyone who has it, because Google has to be able to fetch the photo to publish it. Only Capra Growth and the business the profile belongs to can see that business's data in PresenceHQ.
Google account data is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train AI or machine-learning models, and never shared with anyone else, except with the service providers below, and only to run a feature the business uses, or where the law requires it.
- Google Cloud hosts all of it.
- Anthropic — the text of a review, the reviewer's first name, and the business's name are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to draft a reply for the business to review before anything is posted. PresenceHQ drafts replies when asked and automatically for new low-rated reviews. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models.
PresenceHQ and a business's website and search data
When a business gives PresenceHQ access to its Google Search Console property or Google Analytics 4 property, PresenceHQ reads, for that business's own website only:
- Search Console: the searches the site appeared for, which of its pages appeared, clicks, impressions and average positions, and whether its pages are indexed. PresenceHQ uses these to report rankings and to suggest pages to improve
- Google Analytics 4: visit and lead counts, such as form submissions and phone-number taps. These are totals, not information about individual visitors
PresenceHQ also checks the business's own public website: it reads the site's sitemap and page titles, looks for structured data, and runs pages through Google PageSpeed Insights. To track where a business shows up, it runs searches on Google (through the Google Places API and, when turned on, the search-data provider DataForSEO) for the services and towns the business chooses. Those searches send only search terms and a town, never anyone's personal information.
PresenceHQ and a business's customers
A business can use PresenceHQ to ask its own customers for reviews. The business uploads those customers' names, email addresses, and phone numbers, and decides who gets asked. The messages are sent through:
- Resend, which delivers the emails
- Twilio, which delivers the text messages
PresenceHQ records whether each request was delivered and whether its link was clicked. If the business turns reminders on, PresenceHQ sends at most three, and stops as soon as the customer clicks the link or leaves a review. When a new Google review arrives, PresenceHQ compares the reviewer's name with the names of the customers that business asked, so it can tell the business which requests led to a review. Customer contact details are used only for that business's own review requests, never for anyone else's marketing. If you got a review request and don't want another, reply STOP to a text, or ask the business or us and we'll remove you.
PresenceHQ also sends businesses their own alerts and reports by email through Resend.
Keeping and removing PresenceHQ data
We keep a business's PresenceHQ data — its profile data, reviews, reports, and the customer contacts it uploaded — while we're working with that business. We delete it within 30 days of the business asking us to or of the engagement ending. Invoices and contracts are business records, not PresenceHQ data, and are kept as tax law requires. The account owner can disconnect PresenceHQ at any time from their Google Account's third-party connections. After that, PresenceHQ can't read anything new.
PresenceHQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and tracking
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies, which distinguish one visitor from another and remember where a visit came from. There is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracking, and no consent banner — because analytics is the only thing to consent to, and you can turn it off yourself.
To opt out, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or any ad blocker or privacy-focused browser that blocks analytics scripts. Doing so has no effect on how the site works for you.
How long we keep website submissions
Contact form and scorecard submissions are kept for as long as there's a reason to — an active conversation, an ongoing engagement, or business records we need to hold onto. If an inquiry doesn't turn into work, we clear it out once it's clearly gone cold. Google Analytics data expires on Google's retention schedule and holds no directly identifying information about you.
Your choices
Whatever state or country you're in, you can email ryan@capragrowth.com and ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete it
We'll confirm the request came from you, then handle it within 30 days. There's no form to fill out and no cost.
Security
Form submissions travel over HTTPS and are stored in Google Cloud Firestore under access-controlled credentials. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive material — account numbers, passwords, health information — through the contact form. If you need to share something like that as part of an engagement, we'll set up a proper channel.
Children
This site is for business owners and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If what we do with information changes, this page changes with it, and the "last updated" date at the top will tell you when. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
