Marketing for independent insurance agencies
Your clients find you on Google, ask AI assistants for recommendations, and check your reviews before they call. I make sure your agency shows up well in all three places.

These come from the audits I've run on independent agencies. Most are housekeeping, and most are fixable in weeks.
One agency, three Google listings
Old office addresses, a former agency name, or each agent's own profile. Google splits your reviews and calls between them, and none of them ranks as well as one would.
A handful of reviews
Agencies with 20 years of loyal clients and fewer than 10 Google reviews, often none in the past year. The agency down the road with 300 gets the call.
A website Google can't fully read
Pages blocked from Google by a settings file, sites that load blank for search engines, or quote forms on pages without a secure connection.
Missing from AI answers
Ask ChatGPT or Gemini for an insurance agent in your town and they name a few agencies. Being #1 on Google Maps doesn't guarantee you're one of them.
Template content that isn't yours
Carrier and vendor template sites that say the same thing as hundreds of other agencies, and sometimes carry testimonials written about someone else.
Names and numbers that don't match
A different phone number or agency name on every directory, or structured data that puts your agency in the wrong city.
Generic local marketing misses what agencies need
- Pay-per-lead isn't an option in most states. Google's Local Services Ads cover insurance agencies only in California and Florida.
- What you publish carries weight. A blog post that overstates coverage is a liability, not just a typo.
- Referrals still check you online. A client's friend looks you up before calling, and a thin listing loses them.
- Many agencies grow by acquisition. Merged offices leave old names, numbers, and listings behind.

What agency owners ask
Can my agency use Google Local Services Ads?
Only in some states. Google currently lists insurance agencies for Local Services Ads in California and Florida only. Everywhere else, search ads and the Google Maps listing do that job, and I'll tell you which applies before anything is set up.
Will AI-written blog posts get my agency in trouble?
Not the way I do it. Articles are drafted with AI, then edited and fact-checked by me, and nothing is published until you approve it. No coverage promises, no advice your agency wouldn't give.
Do I need a new website?
Often not. Many agency sites need fixes, not a rebuild: unblocking pages, adding structured data, writing pages for the towns you serve. The free audit tells you which you need.
How long until I see results?
Listing cleanup and review requests show up in weeks. Rankings and AI visibility build over months. Search ads can produce calls in the first week.
Do you only work with agencies in Austin?
No. I'm based in Austin and work with agencies across the US, fully remote.
